There were and continue to be enormous rewards for researchers and scientists looking to promote consensus COVID policies and mandates.
Giving politicians and their media partners license to continue mandates was its own separate economy, both in terms of influence and stature within educational institutions. So it should come as no surprise that there was, and still is, an enormous body of work published by academics designed to promote and uphold the organized push for masking.
It’s been repeatedly and obviously demonstrated that mask mandates had no impact on the spread of COVID, nor did they reduce mortality rates. Many areas around the world saw the largest and fastest spread of the virus with mask mandates in place.
Other metrics, including hospitalizations, saw similar increases.
Did that stop anyone from trying to show otherwise? Of course not.
And one of the most prominent examples shows just how hard they worked to sell their position, even if they were conclusively, comprehensively wrong.
Every Comparison Shows Masks Are Meaningless
Sanity, intellectual honesty, critical thinking and rationality are dead. The COVID response killed those qualities and purposefully discouraged and disparagingly labeled anyone who still engages with them.
